The Founding Fellows man the Squak station at Space Day

Mt. Si High School students get ready for an evening star party with the Boeing Employee's Astronomical Society and the Squak Mountain Telescope Gang. Notice the one student wearing a lab coat - a future Squaker no doubt. Lower photo is Venus taken by squaker Ted - if you look really really really close you can almost but not quite see the smiling Venusians waving back.

EXTRA EXTRA !!!

Inside sources inform me that Gil is working on a new backyard project. The photo to the right was secretly taken in Gil's backyard.

Squaker Jonathan Fay has been constructing a backyard observatory, as he presented at the last squaking. To view Jonathan's work check out his web site at: www.bearcreekobservatory.com

ASTRONOMY DAY AT THE MUSEUM OF FLIGHT

The Squak Gang takes part in Astronomy Day at the Museum of Flight at Boeing Field. A number of astronomy groups from the Puget Sound area are represented. Scopes and tables are set up inside for museum patrons to be introduced to the wonders of astronomy.

VISIT OUR "SISTER GROUP'S" WEB SITE

The Squak gang now has a "sister group" located in Las Vegas Nevada. They claim to hold star parties near Area-51, the super secret, non-existant base in central Nevada. Investigating this group, squak intellegence indicates that this gang from Vegas is either a) non-existant also or b) actually extraterrestrials from Vega using Area-51 as a space base (assuming of course that Area-51 exists in the first place, or for that matter if any of us actually exist). Check them out yourself and say hi at www.astronomylv.com

JOIN SQUAK MOUNTAIN TELESCOPE GANG'S SEARCH FOR INTELLIGENT LIFE
Having been unsuccessful in our attempts to find intelligent life here on Earth, we look to the cosmos. The Squak Mountain Telescope Gang has joined the search for extraterrestrial intelligence (SETI). Now you can help analyze the data from the Arecibo radio telescope looking for signals that could indicate an intelligent source. All you need to do is download the data to your computer and the program runs as a screen saver. When the screen saver is active on your PC, data is analyzed. Currently about 1.2 million people are involved. Everything is free, all you need to do is go the web site and get the download. All the information is there. Once you sign up, then you can join the Squak Mountain Telescope Gang group within the SETI program. The site is at http://www.setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu.
